After 25 years in clinical psychiatry, I burned out. I resigned from my beloved job and stepped away from the relentless pressure of clinical medical practice so that I could heal my body, mind and soul.

I knew there had to be a kinder, gentler way to juggle a challenging career and a busy family life, without sacrificing my sanity or well-being. I went searching for tools that would help women in medicine manage stress and avoid burnout, without adding endless tasks to your to my to-do list. 

As a doctor, I turned to neuroscience, deepening my exploration of Positive Neuroplasticity, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Integrated Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, I-Rest Yoga Nidra and Yin Yoga.
